ITINERARY
Day 1 - Saturday - Arrive Venice
Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to Venice pier for embarkation. Early evening departure towards Island of Korcula (overnight sailing). (D,O)
Day 2 - Sunday - Korcula
Arrive Korcula, birth place of Marco Polo, on Sunday afternoon. Visit the main square and see the Cathedral Square and nearby Marco Polo’s family house. In the evening enjoy performance of Moreska, the island’s unique version of Morris Dance. (B,L,D,O)
Day 3 - Monday - Dubrovnik
Arrive Dubrovnik in the morning. Entering the gates of this over 1000 years old architectural marvel is like a step back in time. Enjoy the City Tour, including Rector’s Palace, Bell Tower clock, Orlando’s Column and the Sponza Palace. You will also see Dominican’s Monastery and Franciscan Monastery housing one of the oldest pharmacies in the world. (B,L,D,O)
Day 4 - Tuesday - Corfu
Morning arrival at Corfu, one of the most fascinating Greek islands. Picturesque Byzantine and Medieval villages of this mythical island were all built at the hills and surrounded by fortresses as a protection from the Ottoman invaders and pirates. Island tour will include Achillion, Paleocastritsa and Corfu town with the old Venetian Fortress, St. Spiridon Byzantine Church and the historic Garitsa district. (B,L,D,O)
Day 5 - Wednesday - Kotor
Arrive Kotor, Montenegro in the morning. The Bay of Kotor and the old town of Kotor are both on UNESCO’s World Heritage List. Bay of Kotor is actually the largest European Fjord outside of Norway. In addition to City Tour, you will also enjoy the panoramic tour of Montenegro Riviera, including visit to unique, town hotel Sveti Stefan. (B,L,D,O)
Day 6 - Thursday - Split
Morning arrival at Split, largest town on Dalmatian coast Most of the Split’s cultural and historical monuments are built within the walls of 1700 years old Diocletian’s Palace built by a Roman Emperor as his retirement palace. After City Tour there will be plenty of time for individual sightseeing and shopping . (B,L,D,O)
Day 7 - Friday - Pula and Venice
Morning arrival to Pula. City Tour of this 3000 years old town will include visit to Arena, the 2nd largest Roman Amphitheatre still in use. In the afternoon sail back to Venice. (B,L,D,O)
Day 8 - Saturday - To Lake Bled
Disembark after breakfast and enjoy Venice City Tour including Doge’s Palace and St. Mark’s Cathedral. In the afternoon travel north to Slovenia’s Alps and Lake Bled. (B,D,O)
Day 9 - Sunday - In Bled
Our morning sightseeing tour features the town of Bled with the lake-shore, and includes a visit to the Bled Castle, perched on a cliff high above the lake. Balance of the day at leisure for optional activities, such as visiting the old church with a collection of a religious art on a small island in the middle of the lake. (B,O)
Day 10 - Monday - To Vienna
After breakfast depart Bled for Vienna, the “City of Waltz” and one of Europe’s loveliest cities. (B,O)
Day 11 - Tuesday - in Vienna
Our morning sightseeing tour features the Hofburg, once the seat of the Austro- Hungarian Empire, the Belvedere Palace, views of Prater amusement park, UN buildings, St. Stephen’s Cathedral and other vivid reminders of city’s imperial history. Tonight we’ll feast on traditional Heurigen dinner with the entertainment in the charming suburb of Neustiff. (B,D,O)
Day 12 - Wednesday - Depart Vienna
After breakfast we transfer to the airport where we board our homeward bound flight. (B)
