VENICE
Full day tour
This is our number one tour. The departure from Poreč, main pier is at 08,00. Guests from Poreč hotels (old town and Fortuna) have to check in at 07,30 all other guests are transferred to Poreč by bus. Voyage to Venice takes a bit more than two hours. On board, our guides will explain our program in Venice, which is as follows: Thirty minutes walking tour from catamaran across bridges brings them directly to the st. Marco Square. Sightseeing of the square lasts about 30 minutes and is followed by the visit to Murano glass Factory - the famous Vetrerie.
In the afternoon, the guests have time for sightseeing or to take one of the optional we offer: - Lunch in a typical Venetian restaurant

- Taxi ride
Optional may be booked on board of catamaran.
Departure from Venice is at about 17,00. The passports or identity cards are obligatory.

POSTOJNA LIPICA
At the very outskirts of the Istrian peninsula stretches a country called Crass. It is a land of rare beauty; secret underground waters and caves, specifically climate and vegetation. And right there in a picturesque village of Lipica for more than 400 years beautiful, white, fully bred horses have been bred. For their elegance and graceful movements they are called "the four legged aristocrats". A local guide will take the clients for a guided tour of stables pointing out different methods of stages of breeding and training of these noble animals. A special feature and experience is a show-program featuring the star lipizaner studs performing some of the most difficult steps and figures they have learned in their training.
Another curiosity of the crass region is its caves. The biggest and the worldwide known are Postojna Caves spreading their monument beauty for more than 20 kilometers of underground passages and caves. Their beauties have been visited and admired by more than 20 million visitors in the past 150 years and it is one of the most visited places in Slovenia.
Sightseeing tour includes a ride on electrical train-taking visitors deep into the world of stalactites and stalagmites.
Visitors will visit in about one and a half hour the most beautiful and spacious caves.

ISTRIAN MOSAIC
This small part of our country you will recognize as a tiny part of picturesque mosaic representing our turbulent past. This mosaic is full of contrasts draw by nature and men. The road will take you throughout vineyards and olive yards, red plains and green valleys, modest little towns and rich sea resorts.
The pearl of our mosaic is Pula and its attraction lays not only in its shop and factories,
but in its ancient past.
There is the Roman Amphitheater, the sixths biggest in all over the world.
Pula was even then an important center. There is also August's Temple, antique City Walls, the Golden Gate and other monuments of the antique past, a local market that is very interesting, the biggest one in Istria.
The most important center of Istria mainland is Pazin; an old town with extremely well preserved medieval fortress. It is situated above a 10 meters deep cave and it inspired
Jules Verne who described it in one of his novels. Nowadays the Ethnological Museum is placed there and its exhibits tell stories about the life of common Istrian peasant.
The last part of our mosaic is a visit to a typical Istrian family. They will offer to the clients home
made Istrian wine and cakes, all prepared according to the traditional Istrian receipts.

FISH PICNIC
Join the merry sailors!
"While our boat“s sailing and we“re fishing..." as says the old Dalmatian folk song, we shall be cruising along the sunny Istrian coast and its little gulf to a romantic bay where our party begins for big and small.
A toast with a small glass of household brandy, a real seafood meal, brownie barbecued and crusty fish, excellent wine, laughter and funny games...

LIM FJORD and ROVINJ
Lim Fjord is due to his untouched Mediterranean vegetation and extraordinary rich sea life, a real Nature reserve. This Fjord penetrates the inland for 10 kilometers. It is practically unreachable for a man and therefore it is a paradise for many animals. Natural conditions offer breading many kinds of fish and mussels. Among them, oysters are the most known with extraordinary quality.
Therefore, Lim Fjord welcomes many guests to experience this untouched nature or to taste one of the delicious sea dishes in a coastal restaurant.
Rovinj is old fishing town. Venetian, who ruled them for more than 500 years drew its destiny. It is famous for its narrow streets, small squares and old palaces, built in Venetian style. The baroque church St. Euphemia, the saint protector of the old and fisherman, dominates the town. It keeps a 1500 years old sarcophagus with the relicts of the Saint.
From the church terrace it is possible to admire a miraculous view over The Rovinj Archipelago.
The boat passes by the Poreč, Riviera, Blue Lagoon, Green Lagoon, Funtana and Vrsar and it goes either to Lim Fjord.

NATIONAL PARK BRIJUNI
Half day excursion.
The Brioni archipelago covers a group of 14 island and islets of exceptional beauty, also famous for their archeological findings. Brioni were declared a national park in 1984. On this tour you will visit Veli Brion, archipelago“s largest island. A four-hour ride on a tourist train will take you to safari park where various exotic animals live wild. Our expert guide will also show you the remains of the Byzantine fortification from 2nd century BC as well as a Roman summer residence from the 1st century AD Next you will visit Archeological Museum and the 15th century St. German“s church.

VILLAGE PARTY
Evening tour by bus.
Every country has its customs and folklore. Those in their authentic form can still be found in the countryside of one country. The old folk songs and dances are still worn in various occasions. Even food is traditionally prepared.
In a little village, far from the crowd and good roads Village party is organized for our clients. Food and drinks (wine) that they offer to the guests were grown on their own farm. They serve it themselves and they prepare a folklore program with songs and dances. They will invite you to join them.

TRIESTE
Half day excursion
The “Love-nest” of Maximilian of Habsburg and Charlotte of Belgium, MIramare Castle was built from 1856 to 1860 to a design by Carl Junker on the orders of Archduke Maximilian. The royal couple, who then divided their time betweenthe duties of the court and their private lives but were soon to accept the benfits and burdens of the Mexican crown, spent a happy period here. It was here, with the visit of a delegation from Mexico, that definite plans were laid for the adventure that led to their undoing, a fate so tragic that a veil of romantic sadness was drawn over the Castle itself. Later the residence of Duke Amadeo of Aosta an from 1943 to 1954 the headguaters of foreign military units, the Castle is now a museum run by the Cultural Heritage Office. Its rooms are open to the public.
The Castel gardens provide a setting of outstanding beauty with a variety of trees, chosen by and planted on the orders of Maximilian, that today make a remarkable collection.

In a little village, far from the crowd and good roads wine tasting is organized for our clients. Visit to a typical Istrian family.
Wine and cookies that they offer to the guests were grown on their own farm. They will offer to the clients home made Istrian wine and cakes, all prepared according to the traditional Istrian receipts.

PLITVICE LAKES
Full day excursion
Pick up in the morning according to the time table.
The ride through three Croatian region - Istra, Kvarner and Gorski kotar; on the way there, there is one stop for refreshment
Arrival to Plitvice at app. 12.30,
Sightseeing with the guide lasts app 4 hrs.
First part of the tour the guests are walking (cca 45 min) to explore the lower Lakes with the Great waterfall, then they board an electric boat accross the Kozjak lake. From there, a second part of walking tour starts, app 1,5 hrs, sightseeing of Upper lakes.
Late lunch stop at app 16.30 in one of the restaurants nearby the Plitvice lakes.
Ride back to Istra; arrival to hotel at app 10.00 p.m.
GUESTS SHOULD ORDER WITH THE RECEPTION PACKED LUNCH TO TAKE AWAY EVENING BEFORE THE EXCURSION BECAUSE OF THE LATE ARRIVAL BACK TO HOTEL. ADVISE YOUR GUESTS TO TAKE COMFORTABLE SHOES AND WARM CLOTHING.
